Work Permit Romania

Romania is a member state of the European Union; thus, citizens of other EU countries have the right to reside and work in Romania without needing a work permit. Other foreign nationals may reside and work in Romania if they have a valid passport and a Romanian visa.

Foreign nationals who intend to stay and work in Romania for more than 90 days must obtain a long-stay visa and then register with the local authorities. After that, they will receive a residence permit.

How to obtain a Romania Work Permit?

As an Oman resident, you are not eligible to apply for a work permit directly in Romania. Your employer can start the application process on your behalf by sending an employment offer to the Directorate for Immigration. This must be done before you travel to Romania.

The following conditions must be fulfilled to get Romania work visa:

  • Fulfill all the employer requirements under the legal framework of employment in Romania.

  • You hold no criminal record in Romania or any other country.
